A Little Corny Ish

He packed up all his poetry, even changed his name
It'll never be as good as the name that brought him fame.
but he's here still giving updates by some guy named Sean
a dude we never heard of but heavily rely upon!

True he's never let us down anytime we call
He grins and smirks makes love to us all
talks of great friends that he's found at Soup
holds up the standards of his Cornyish group

Oh he's totally brilliant no one could surpass
Hope he figures out he's knocked us on our azz?

Judy, I love your humorous take on an "ish" who seems to have gone bye bye. Since I've not been on poetry soup long, Don't know him and don't feel a need to cry. But it was a great tribute, I'd have to say to someone who evidently touched lives. Wish I'd known him; maybe I will someday. To take a lesson from him would be wise.

Nette I would normally quip, " I don't think a bulldozer could get him out of here" but I don't know what to say when you're trying to rake someone back in! Maybe a grapple hook? OUCH
