A Little Child

A Little Child " 8 What is more, I consider everything a loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them garbage, that I may gain Christ 9 and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ—the righteousness that comes from God on the basis of faith." Phil 3:8-9 NIV By The Influence of God’s Spirit, God speaks to us all. But it’s only by permission, The Holy Spirit upon us will call. When we open our hearts to God in prayer, As if talking to a friend, He makes our requests known to heaven; And employs God’s support to send. The Holy Spirit brings us to repentance; Tells us what is right or wrong; Allows us to make choices daily; Puts in our hearts a joyful song. The Holy Spirit is a person Who has feelings that can be hurt. We should be conscious of his presence; Not choose temptations to divert. The Holy Spirit takes our prayers to heaven; To those sacred courts above; In a language that has beauty And filled with God’s amazing love. He gifts us a sorrow for sin And the ability to see its uselessness. He changes our hearts; Gives us a desire for heaven’s holiness. The Influence of God’s Spirit Can be seen everywhere; In volunteering to help the poor and needy; Showing others that we care. He’s found in a desire to read God’s word And be drawn into communion, With our Creator and Savior; Be made free from condemnation. Copyright © Maureen LeFanue 2012 www.maureenlefanue.com

This is a wonderful poem and so true. So many people try to tell what is right and wrong but I agree with your line "The Holy Spirit brings us to repentance; Tells us what is right or wrong;"
