A Lit Candle
Trickling raindrops run
down a pane of glass;
where a lit candle
offers travelers
a glimmer of hope,
on a stormy night.
Its flickering light
lures passing strangers:
signaling, shelter
awaits them within
the warm embrace of
a welcoming inn.
