A Light In the Universe
I am a light in the universe
Even though i quickly pass
I have shined but not nearly enough
For other lights to shine back their love
I am a light in the universe
Wishing my fate i could reverse
So i could shine to my potential
And only do those things essential
I am a light in the universe
Dimming quickly under a solar curse
About to disappear inside that black hole
Wondering if there is a God to rest my soul
I am a light in the universe
With a mind unable to traverse
Why into this life I was suddenly cast
The meaning of it, from the first day to the last
I am a light in the universe
A child of accidental cosmic birth
My senses lit by brighter lights than I
Striving for academic levels so high
I am a light in the universe
Catching my breath under a mixture of gas
In search of luxury under a fading galaxy
In search of eternity under a divine fallacy
We are all lights in the universe
Fragile pieces of ancient stars
Each one of us with a different face
Justifying our reasons to float through space
