A Letter To the Ex

This letter I just have to write
To no one I wish any malice or spite

I know not how you could have tossed him aside
Maybe you wore blinders which made him hide

I truly must say I am appreciative and grateful to you
There are too many men out there who just made me blue

Men filled with anger and contempt, men who are just wrecked
I have long wished for a loving partner that I could respect

This man holds me close to his heart, as we walk hand in hand
I am joyous that in me he has a safe place to land

Warm, caring, and wonderful is this new love I have found
He is creative and beautiful inside and out and his mind is sound

He is a treasure that I will always hold dear
I hope when we are in our nineties that he still whispers in my ear

So again I thank you Ms. X....for one of the bonuses is great sex!
