A Letter To the Admin

I was nothing. I was quiet and unconscious in the comfortable instance of non-being. I was pulled out of the void to serve my sentence, being configured as a package of meat to which brains and other survival tools are added. should be nice to everyone, kind, study and work. dedicate myself during the passage through this hell to the exercise of temperance and good will. having good manners and fearing invisible entities created by other meat packs like me. and wait for the most immediate reward, that is, the momentary pleasures, the fleeting smiles of luck, the few days in a thousand when satisfaction dominates. but they forgot to mention illnesses, fatigue, pain, setbacks, disappointments, sadness, the violence of natural elements, disasters, bad luck, accidents, imperfection. if you have plans for me that include a new stay here, I thank you in advance for the commitment and dedication of the hospice staff, but I prefer to remain in the dark limbo of non-existence, thank you very much see you never again.

This is a fascinating piece of writing, Marco, primarily because you do not give me the whereabouts of your stay, other than "hospice," which I interpret to mean this life on earth. Maybe not. Your "dark limbo of non-existence" is masterful. Exceptional writing!

we're assuming this is a fit place for the mentally ill. if we weren't gifted with brains maybe yes, this would be a paradise. perhaps the placidity of animals can be understood by this logic...or they use their brain much better than we do! thanks for your kind words, Milton.
