A Leaf On a Marble Plate
A leaf on a marble plate,
an angle hushing behind swollen grass
and resting still, in place
Welcomed to every party
her boyfriend is always late
Under great sky arches
black silken lace and angel face
so softly at everyone glances
Long lashes
flashes of truth
