A Late Night Poem

10:02 PM 25 oct 2018

I was tired and ready to sleep
then memories they started to creep

slipping in from poems I wrote
rocked me awake like a storm and boat

now here I am melancoly music in my ear
every moment of my life counted in tear

wondering when I will smile for real
when my heart some true joy will feel

In this world I do have trouble just as Christ said
I will be so glad when in his peace I will rest my head

Until then I will fight on
writing rhymes and singing songs
And helping others to carry on
