A gaggle of snow-white geese flew down south.
Winter must be nearing the cold season.
Fog crept down the side of the orange hill side.
Red full-grown maples dotted the countryside,
And from amongst the withering grass
Asters still persevered in their beauty.
A breeze blew across the uneven plain
Shedding colourful leaves whilst squirrels
Ran from tree to tree. in search all in competition,
For nooks to hide their wintry fare.
Clouds dispersed the fog.
Birds hunted for worms.
Sweet to hear the twittering
Finches and robins
Relishing all with their songs.
Last stanza is a Tanka.
