A Joy To Behold
A child of beauty.
Such a joy to behold,
So full of mischief
And yet good as gold.
A rare precious gem
In a world gone awry.
A laughing imp
With a sparkling eye.
Sweet innocence wrapt
In a bundle of fun,
Full of wonder and
Enchanting to everyone...
Soulful eyes,Cupid mouth,
Chubby cheeks that tantalise.
A cherub from heaven born,
Soft haired angel in disguise.
Little hands that reach in trust,
Pure,peaceful as a dove.
And inside this pint pot of charm
A heart that beats with love....
You,who would disquiet our lives
Yet lay there so gentle and mild,
You make us smile, tug at our hearts.
Such a sweet adorable child.
I wrote this when our first granddaughter was born, but it was personalised.
She is now a beautiful woman with a child of her own.
