A Journey of Moments

Each and every day,
I am grateful for the time.
Aware and in the moment,
   which is temporarily mine.
And, looking at my mother
   asleep and in her bed,
I add this mental picture
to the memories in my head.
How blessed to be the chosen
   and, to really understand.
For the chance to take this journey,
   together hand and hand.

Sheri, my heart goes out to you. The loss of Mom is the greatest loss there is. May G-d and your Faith comfort you in your time of grief. Blessings, Gershon

I lost my mom this past monday, April 6, 2020. I remember the night I wrote this as if it was now. Over 6 years of being her caregiver I am lost without direction. Heartbroken. She died of Parkinsons complications and I spent 5 days and nights at her side in the hospital til her last breath. I am so grateful for all the time spent one on one.
