A Journey Alone
When I leave footprints in the sand
In my life I’m leaving my mark and taking a stand
I need to be by myself to take this spiritual journey
Without any interruptions I develop more diligently
It is not attained through self-gratification but through fidelity
Without this journey, there is no point to the destination
To move ahead I must have no hesitation
Your experiences are not who you are
I definitely aim high for the stars
This journey that I'm on I don’t attend to go far
But I do plan to get there having no fear
It is a faith driven and a much needed trip
This alone time will help me in life to get that grip
Cradle to the grave is the purpose of our creation
Everyone passes through the final stage to their final destination
It is not a dream but this journey is so real
A lot of things in my life I need to heal
This journey has taught me to love not to hate
It is the key to my future and my fate
As my destiny and my story is told
I am still alone and wondering along the road
Journeys, like artists, are born and not made. A thousand differing circumstances contribute
to them, few of them willed or determined by the will—whatever we may think.
