A Jellyfish Danced, Through Canals of Venice

A jellyfish danced, through canals of Venice, To look in awe, at a superior menace, That thought that it could take over a planet, Each land it conquered, small groups inhabit. And now, it seems, this species of ill, Has had to watch earth, through a window sill, As nature reforms and unites in wonder, The animals returned, from grounds they’re under. Covid 19, it’s been understood, To have come from animals, and passed onto us. A horrendous virus, with no cure to be found, A virus to which, has all of man bound. We’re stuck in our homes, obeying new laws, And listening in terror, at rules with flaws. A stupid species, mankind can be, As some groups of people, can’t seem to see The effect that this virus, has had on our land, And disobey rules, that our governments demand. I must say to you all, please follow the rules, They are there for a reason, don’t follow the fools Who disobey, and pass on the death, Simply carried, through their touch and breath. We will win this war, if we all stand together, We’re strong as a team, for now and forever. For now however, all that we ask, Is to stay at home, in the sun you can bask. Let the jellyfish swim, and the deer all roam, Down motorways and canals, they once called home.
