A Hymn For My School

A place where peace and love prevail. Though patience often fail; Where unity is manifest, and hatred laid to rest. Refrain: This is my school, a special place. For boys and girls of every race. I love my school, 'twill always be, A treasured place for me. This school the minds of students train, Deep things to contemplate. The hands to labor and to toil, with skill appropriate. God, bless the students of this school, The head and teachers too. Give them the wisdom from above, love for the job they do.

...and full of passion this is. What a warm and beautiful sense of love that has been perhaps lost, or is fading.

I feel the heaviness in this brooding and harshly realistic piece. I have a special place in my heart for the Vietnam Vets. I too have written some words on this subject nd although I was quite young, I could still feel the tensions of this war.

Very nice. I feel like this could almost be your school's alma mater song!
