A Hummingbird

Amongst the honeysuckle
and morning dew
A Hummingbird
Of iridescent blue
Darted back and forth
In a garden
Made for you

For, in the walled garden
Flashing blue and green
Red too
The whirr of wings
Hummingbirds are to be seen

Such beauty
That lies in a magical world
For, whirring wings
Iridescence
Flashing green and blue
Lies in you

Such colours
Amongst the flowers
Melted the heart
A Hummingbirds' flight
A joy to see
I sat upon the wooden seat
Wished you were here
With me
