A Horse Will Always Run
When all is said and done
A horse will always run
With sudden fright
He's out of sight
Both ears pinned
Swift as the wind
Lurking danger far behind
With no thoughts of any kind
Flight his only real defense
No thought just instinct most intense
The donkey can't outrun a foe
He stops he thinks he has to know
Which of all the best way to go
Settle down don’t make a move
Prepare to kick might also prove
The answer to this situation
The author of his own salvation
Now a mule a hybrid of horse and ass
Best of both a true class half ass
Like her father the mule is thinking
At those who think her stubborn winking
Unlike the horse you can’t command
Use a stick a whip or slight of hand
Motivation through conversation
The only route to cooperation
When she decides what’s best for her
And what you need both concur
She will very happily do your bidding
Better than any horse no kidding
So Stubborn isn't a real mule trait
A thought may make her hesitate
But in the end whatever you need
Accomplished by this wondrous steed
