A Hopeless Romantic

A hopeless romantic is what they say
In love with the idea of love
But who am I to blame
Until now that has been true
Every man’s face in the mirror
I was hoping was you
I didn’t know how
I didn’t know when
I just had faith
That one day
 I would fall again
The man of mystery
The man of my dreams
Was out there somewhere
Just out of reach
I prayed to God to send you
I told him all I wanted
 I didn’t know your name
But kept asking all the same
Trusting that I’d know without question
You were God’s blessing to me
And that you are perfect
You are all
That I will ever need
I love you
