A Hometown Hero
Jesse lived in my hometown
Some curious pets stop to see
Like a petting zoo in small-town
the way downtown to get slushy
A crow that could speak could it be
To see sandy a dog shepherd
Coming to the fence petted her
Now much colder a winter’s play
Face in snow a hill cold killer
God saved me a sandy way
Thank you Jesus for sent herder
So cold I could go know further
She woke me dragging home today
Thank you for Jesse and for her
God saved me a sandy way
