A Hero's Homcoming

With muffled drum
The drummer beats his
Requiem
^
Whilst pipers play
Their mournful
Tune
^
In deep respect
For one taken so soon
^
As casket adorned
In Flowers bold
Try
Shielding
The world from
Horrors untold
^
A
Silent throng
With heads solemnly
Bowed
Cast tears of regret
On to sovereign ground
^
Whilst Women sob
And
Grown men cry
^
As If a Final
lullaby,

A very sad poem written with hands of mastery. I enjoyed reading it. Congratulations for making it to the final round
