A Heroes Tribute
War tormented nightmares
Constantly living in fear
Screams and yells is the only thing he hears
The ringing sound of explosions in his ears
Plagued by hate and deceit
Seeing all around him is defeat
Always smelling the stench of death
Looking over his shoulder counting how more mercenaries are left
He don’t even know his next meal
In his mouth he just got the taste to kill
Not expecting but hoping to see the next day
From day to night he frequently prays
Thinking about family and friends
Praying that these never ending nightmares will end
Psalm 69:29 I am in pain and distress; may your salvation, O God, protect me.
Isaiah 41:10 Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will
strengthen you and help you.
Revelation 21:4 He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or
mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.
