A Heartfelt Tribute

For all the men, and women,
serving their country,
in a far, away land.
A few heart felt words
come to mind,
with new meaning.
Honor
For the job you do,
valiantly,
each and every day.
Pride
For defending our flag,
old Red, White, and Blue.
Heroes
For giving so unselfishly,
without a doubt, never once
thinking of themselves.
Soldiers
Shoulder to shoulder,
upon the sand.
you show our strength.
In numbers, united as one.
We shall stand.
Freedom
It’s a very high price,
they pay, to defend our
God given right, to live free.
Thank you
The word thank you,
seems yet so small,
and never can,
quite compare,
to all the things,
you’ve given, or for
sacrifices made.
Yet, from our hearts,
Across the miles,
and sent from home
we send our love,
and prayers,
to each and every
one of you.
