A Heart Without Love

lips unkissed withholding desirable feelings of lust
with another worthy companion that shares mutual trust
walks along a sand less beach with no sun or sea
lost in hopelessness and searching for a place to be
no roof on my shelter to shield me from the heavy rain
tear drops from the sky which is the essence of my pain
a door with no lock to keep away demons of the past
misconception of forever when the feelings never seem to last
a chest with a hole where all emotion was made
something of an illusion when it all begins to fade
maybe it's like a heaven with no gates or angels above
you can never know sadness till you had a heart without love
