A Hawaiian Wedding
A Hawaiian Wedding
by Rick Rucker
A Hawaiian Wedding I have planned,
Near the ocean, on the sand
Together, we will stand,
I will have to stop squeezing her delicate hand!
I just can't believe,
That she is here, and won't leave!
How did this come to pass?
What Magical Spell did I weave to win this Beautiful Lass?
I told her about the Words that I write,
Read them to her, both Day and Night!
Suddenly, I have the notion,
That they brainwashed her, like the tide of an ocean!
Then, like a salesman moving in for The Close,
I finished her off with a lovely Red Rose!
She really didn't stand a Chance,
Her defenses were breached by True Romance!
I know this sounds weird, I'm hoping for Rain,
Then maybe they won't notice how my eyes do drain!
There is only one more thing,
The song that Andy Williams will sing!
So, if in The Future, you hear of a wedding,
And to Hawaii, you're already heading,
Please stop by,
If you don't mind seeing a grown man cry,
For, they are tears of Joy,
She has made me the Most Happy Boy!
