A Handful of Heaven

Christmas is just like 
                  a handful of Heaven 
When love is the meaning
                       and reason to be
 
Where peace is united
                  and happiness rules
And beauty awakens
                   like lights on a tree

Tinsel and Garland 
                 are angels in waiting 
They make what's lovely
                       just only moreso 

And presents are simply
                      a happy reminder
The gift of forever
                 with all that we know

Christmas is just like
                   a handful of Heaven
A taste of the joyous
                 all wrapped up in fun
 
Time to remember
                that love will abide us
From Christmases past
                   to when we are one
