A Grumpy Old Man

A Grumpy Old Man

By Elton Camp

Nothing in his world is ever right
So he complains both day & night

He constantly sings the same old song
Those around him are doing him wrong

Even his wife he does constantly berate
So that their marriage she comes to hate

His landlord wishes that he would move
The peace of the place it would improve

Relatives, his ways, try to tolerate
But to visit him they secretly hate

The doctor despises to see him appear
Knowing he will complain and sneer

With other people he’ll never agree
None else are as obnoxious as he

He has become just a hateful old goat
To being a grouch his life does devote

Morning Ilene, Some of them get like that in old age with failing health, but my experience has shown that most of them were unpleasant young people too. Elton
