A Greater Purpose

An inspiration 
Is all I need
A little tape
On my shoulder or knee
Or why not donate?
A pen or 2
Maybe three
For a poet with a mind at ease
I can flow

For a greater purpose
A sonnet or verse
Call for release 
How about a wink
That’s all I seek
A little encouragement
For what?
A name
Is all I want

A famous or infamous inscription
On my diploma or applause

If you would take the time
To sit
To read
To digest
And criticize
You would became
An inspiration
For a greater purpose of mine
