A Grain of Sand

Let me live as light as a grain of sand As light as the moments when we touch Passing through the fingers of your hand Let me be the sands that shift Whatever be the distance that I may drift Let me be that tiny splash My thoughts just a rippling band Let me be that trickle of sand That measures time on land Let me be those salty tears Letting go of all of those fears Let me be that flying abyss Meeting sunlight as we pass Let me be the cracks on lips Moistened by the spray of the sea I sip Let me be like water that ebbs and flows Finding every nook and cranny till I rest on your shore Let me be that castle of sand Waiting to fall and relive my hand! 16.3.22 Contest Name: Living Light Sponsor: Unseeking Seeker

Carol, such lovely musings using sand and sea imagery. My favorite is "Let me be those salty tears / Letting go of all of those fears". Congratulations on your win! Blessings ~ John
