A Good Morning

Each morning I'm thankful to heavens divine
Because I’m blessed to see an early morning sunrise
Wake up! Sleeping eyes
And then I woke up to reality
This is another day that God breathe life into me
So therefore no complaints today, I’m alive and happy
The thoughts in my head are heavy from dreaming
I’m groggy from another restless night of sleeping
Today I will hold myself together through the good and bad
I have to not let anyone steal my joy and make me mad
Please don’t rush me; I know it’s time to get up
My regular routines are shower, shave, brush teeth, and then get my coffee cup
Every single morning I have to wear this smile
Because I know this world is hostile
To me every morning is a new beginning
Living every one hour of the day is a blessing
We’re privileged and fortunate to see the beauty that shines each day
I want to thank you Lord for this blissful day

Psalm 118:24 “This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.”

When you arise in the morning, think of what a precious privilege it is to be alive – to breathe, to think, to enjoy, to love. — Marcus Aurelius

Now that your eyes are open, make the sun jealous with your burning passion to start the day. Make the sun jealous or stay in bed. — Malak El Halabi
