A Good Dream

A Good Dream

to be young and in love
and feel old and forgotten
i used to know it all...

my mind once was ripe
now it is rotten
my love is a pillow

it's case wears your shirt
it smells of your perfume
but against the grain

we are the tree of times
if frost kills us too soon
make my love a blanket

what i want to say can't be said
and what i want to write can't be read
a feeling like love is easily named
but not tamed

IF THIS LIFE IS JUST A DREAM, I WANT TO WAKE UP BY YOUR SIDE..
