A Gift So Given
A gift so given from God above
A great gift has been given to me
How God could trust me, I’ll never know
I’m just a frail human being
In what kind of love, could this gift be given
Given straight from the Father’s heart
I pray His will and never mine
So this gift will never depart
This precious gift, from God above
Came in the form of a newborn babe
Jesus Christ the Son of God
Just lying there on the hay
So great a gift to mankind is given
This gift is for everyone
What kind of love’s been shed all over
To heal us when we’re sick and undone.
A gift so given from God above
A great gift has been given to us
The gift of eternal life has been given
If in Him we will only trust.
