A Garden Eden

Let me flow into deep rivers,
to islands of eternal life.
Where nature's unspoilt dreams revive.
A Garden Eden this should be
for all the people hopefully.

I love thinking about the Bible and the Garden of Eden. When I think of the Garden of Eden, I think about Pangaea as it relates to the rivers that went through the Garden. Then,I think about Adam and Eve being expelled. (Probably set near the modern day Tigris and Euphrates- the heart of early Civilization.) Then, light bulb goes off. The oceans with continents drifting apart were probably the rivers that went through the Garden. (Protected by flames... mid-oceanic ridge has flames!) Thanks

What a lovely poem you have written here, Gert. We are blessed with many beautiful gardens, maintained by mankind. But none as beautiful as God's interdependent, self- sustaining, handiwork. (Here is a link to a beautiful garden where I spent many childhood days with my best friend. I hope you enjoy the virtual visit.) http://www.fairchildgarden.org/ Love, Dane P.S. I don't speak German. My spouse does, though. Keep the poems flowing! BIG SMILE.

How wonderful it would be to wake up in a "Garden of Eden" where dreams are kept whole by the promise of eternal life. Very thought-provoking verse, Gert. Well done!! Love, Carolyn
