A Future Dissolves

I am guilty of pretending to have friends. We were connected by a shared education that eventually ends. And when that reality dissolves… When I failed out of school, the end never resolved. And I told people that I might be back. After I left, it became clear what I lack. I used to be able to have a future to explain. But now I have no defense, that two years was all in vain.
