A Funny Story
A funny story
Clouds
a world inside thought
the inner self most often sought
peace that comes from wars fought
part of wo- and man that can't be bought
Dream
upon a hillside of
peaches and cream
all mountains float over
a valley green
all the people in
a happy scene
living by
a spouting stream
Within
science still looks for
but cannot find
any piece of a person
that is the mind
strings of DNA twist AND wind
directed to a street-less sign where a
life of truths will be told
by the young who
remember the old and
don't think we should be so bold
the punch line belongs to
the Creator
