A Full Eyeful Exchanged

What a world this is becoming
so much to concern any old soul
dangers abound wherever you turn
where are the good times let 'em roll

Is there anybody willing to stand strong?
even just one to give an open eye
of course in exchange for the other
but without one, you might die

What can one see without an eye?
all is a blur held in darkness
imagine everyone in such a state
like a room painted in blackness

The consequences of a whole world
that's left behind with no sign of light
searching in all the wrong places
indeed what an awful plight

We all will leave this world
one day at a time all unknown
both our eyes will close at last
these worlds point to endless zone

This is a wonderful message Gordon which we should all take heed off, as humans we sometimes forget how vulnerable we are and how ready we should be. I don't know if I am, I hope so! Poetry hugs, Jenny.

Thanks Jenny, Glad you liked it and indeed we all need to be ready but as long as our trust is in the Lord we will be safely assured. Have a blessed and safe weekend, Gordon
