A Fractured Heart

A fractured heart with a wounded beat
Lies bleeding life upon my feet
A deep ruby wine thick with pain
To late to put it back again
Mind is broke I cannot think
From heart to mind a severed link
I stand and stare with my final sight
The beating stops out goes the light
No heat no cold upon my skin,
And feeling fades from deep within
Deeper into the senseless black
No hope of ever coming back
