A Forecast For Frost

~A Spring Haiku~

                                          one little raindrop..
a bud on a branch calls..
                                           chills send it away..

                                          sunrays lightly spill..
a blade of grass stretches out..
                                           forecast is for frost..

The blades and the buds are but victims of the season's fickle weather, Michael. The bud may succumb for the season, but the blade of grass will rise again when the frost is gone. I'd gladly trade places with you. It is already getting a tad too warm here. Awesome description of Mother Nature's power to fool even her own plants. Love, Carolyn

Great one..Very descriptive of the time of year...The gray clouds are amassed and the pollen like a winter's blizzard falls just outside my door..Thanks for stopping by...Sara
