A Foolish Chase

I fell in love with your unique beauty and grace, And found the feeling irresistable to not follow and chase, So i tagged along after it for these few seasons, But now you've blown a hole in my chest for unknown reasons, This excruciating pain makes me wish i was never born, The rose i care for has scarred me with its thorn, Though throughout the time we spent together i must confess, I still have fond memories of when you used to show your gentleness, Now you've left my heart tattered and abused, I feel as if somehow i was just lured in and used
