A Flower Garden
A flower garden seems the greatest place to be.
Such beauty seen in roses, dahlias, lilies grown.
And I do like the labor raising these you see,
for they respond with loving shades of colors sown.
There's peace and happy presence waiting me someday,
when I can take the pleasure walking close to Thee.
Redeemer mine, forever may it be this way,
together stroll a cottage garden made for me.
Small cottage having no distinguished sight to view,
just loving mate who waits for me and seeks to please.
A better wholesome wife in life man never knew,
who strove to keep our humble home and pay the lease.
Such beauty seen in Master, mate, and flowers bright,
assures a future life, not endless, sleepless night.
