A Flood of Memories

You touched my hand and opened a flood of memories. Some were good some were bad but they always contained you and me. Quickly the years began to race by, I couldn’t stop them even if I tried. Those memories that seem so far away, All tucked in my heart as if it happened only yesterday. I watched them fly by I was fourteen, then eighteen then twenty three, As I followed you around hoping you would notice me. I’ve thought about you often and always fondly, And though I always loved you I doubt you ever noticed me.
