Thanks, Mo... You know this little senryu is even more true today than it was when I wrote it. The economy is just booming along, and the whole focus of the POTUS' texts and tweets are ridiculous sideshows. If Drumpf ever learns how to promote himself, he'll win the next election (2020) in a landslide. 'Course that's a HUGE if, isn't it? ~ gw

I wouldn't bank on it, my friend. A nation that thinks nothing of murdering babies & old people, and of celebrating sex, drugs, and rap musicians certainly isn't going to cotton to candidates who actually have values---not that there are any around whom I can see. … Keep the faith, however. Maybe Putin and/or Xi will take over the ole USA, and we'll all realize what we threw away... :)
