A Flash of Life

I had my life flash right before my eyes,
it left me with many questions of how and why.
A second scene that did seem to persist,
another chance to view all that I had missed.
There were many gifts that were not viewed.
Squandered and lost, but yet they still accrued.
I passed them by, but now I am able to see.
They were always hidden, right there for you and me.
Just slow down and try not to let your life slip.
It goes by very fast and it’s easy to skip.
Read every line that’s printed in your book.
There is so much you can miss, if you don’t always look.
