A Flame Once Burned

Oh well...Here I go again...
Whispering obscurities to the paper with my pen

Sleeping slowly - The lights are always on
Feeding my vanity
with your memories long gone

It's always just like this
A flame once burned
Damning the righteousness
Of the things you said
Or rather I didn't say

The lives that we live - or another rainy day

The phone rings and time talks
My day passes and the wick is all I've got
