A Finger Cut

A finger cut, a wound so deep
It hurts so much, I want to weep
The pain is sharp, it's hard to bear
I want to cry, but no one's there

The blood is flowing, it won't stop
It's hard to cope, I'm in a flop
My finger's throbbing, I'm in despair
I want to scream, but no one's there

The cut is deep, it's hard to mend
I'm feeling weak, I can't defend
My finger's aching, I'm in distress
I want to call out, but no one's there

The wound is deep, it's hard to heal
My heart is broken, I can't conceal
My finger's throbbing, I'm in despair
I want to cry out, but no one's there

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Welcome to Poetry Soup. I welcome you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Emotive and expressive work in this one about love loss. A unique way of sharing the idea with us. I hope not your life but about someone else or in the far distant past. Thank you for sharing. Sara
