A Final Sunset
They strangled him with family ties,
They tried to get his sympathy
by making fictitious promises and loving lies,
They treated him as if he was their possession,
They gave him everything you can think of
except trust, respect and love,
They tried to turn him into someone
they wanted him to be,
The sun went down over a dark lonely tomb,
Leaving unsown roses never to bloom,
He paid all their debts with a premature sunset,
They belittled him
until he couldn’t take any more,
They compared him to his friends
until he was hopelessly forlorn,
His torment didn’t end
until they found out he had died,
Not by illness or accident,
- by but suicide,
The sun went down upon a cold restless grave,
So beware your cruel and harsh ways,
For the only thing you’ll get is one final sunset.
