A Father's Love

I remember back when you were young
Mid day just a little after One,
You filled a void buried deep in my heart
then I swore that I'd always be there,
next thing I knew you were running to me
now it seems that you're reading to me,
Then I hear you say to me
Then I hear you say

Hey Dad I love you so
I really don't want you to go,
I know it's hard out on the road
so I wrote you a note,
It says,
Remember that I love you so
I'll always be your baby girl,
Love forever Daddy's Angel

Once again I'm heading out
down another lonesome road,
Though I'm miles and miles away
I can still see your smile,
Everyday I'm counting down
till the highway brings me home,

Where I'll hear you say to me,
Where I'll hear you say

Hey Dad I love you so
I really don't want you to go,
I know it's hard out on the road
so I wrote you a note,
It says,
Remember that I still love you so
I'll always be your little girl,
Love forever Daddy's Angel
