A Farmer's Fear

A farmer ponders
about the hardness of life
that demands a lot

a dry and parched land
where nothing can grow and live
brings worry and fear

to a man like him
that thrives and lives on farming
it is saddening.

drought is too costly
it sucks and dries everything
land becomes barren

little child at home
is waiting, hungry for food
what is there to do

nature has its time
it has its season to share
and withhold its gifts.

man is wondering
why life changes its season
and brings misery
