A Fantasy Fish - For Contest

A Fantasy Fish

A fantasy fish in a fantasy ocean
floating around in a fantasy potion
adrift in the depth of slumber’s commotion
eyes blinking in awe of this wondrous notion.

Fins that have feathers - scales iridescence
tickling with joy the sea’s effervescence
gills playing music as the rainbows flow through
calming the dreamer with soft notes of blue.

A fantasy ocean - a fantasy fish
colorful candy in mind’s candy dish
inviting the dreamer in for a swim
in the fantasy world of eye flashing REM.

Well, Carrie, I just tossed the muse out of the kayak and this is what she came back with. Thanks for reading and commenting.

As a fisherman, I always appreciate one who catches the moment. To quote John Gierarch "trout don't have to be so beautiful, but they are."
