A Fairy Tale Ending
A fairy tale ending
A fairy tale ending, without trouble or strife,
Happy ever after in my make-believe life,
No sadness can enter, no worries or woe,
That was the dream, and it’s still on the go.
The wolves keep on calling, knock on the door,
I try to stand up, but I’m pushed to the floor,
I feel I am climbing the steepest of hills,
Drowning, drowning in all of those bills.
Life it gets harder, full of despair,
Those with the voices pretend that they care,
Tell us they feel our pain and our ache,
We stand all together, then they sit and they take,
Life sometimes gives me so many regrets,
But I’ll not give up, as hard as it gets.
Happy ever after I’ll stand up and scream,
You can take many things, but never my dreams!
