A Drought In the Middle of the River Blues

there is a drought in the middle of the river where i go to sit and cry
there is a drought in the middle of the river where i go to sit and cry
i kiss the sand of the makeshift desert where I know I am bound to die

i am a border at the corner of isolation and regret
i am a border at the corner of isolation and regret
when my heart starts pouring out he will put my reflexes in deep debt

the vultures laugh at my feeble attempt to be their friend
the vultures laugh at my feeble attempt to be their friend
the vultures see right through me and they fly all around me till the very end

i guess i'll go to the freezer and i'll pull out my old deathbed suit
i guess i'll go to the freezer and I'll pull out my old deathbed suit
i am gonna die today so i might as well look handsom and cute
