A Dream Or a Nightmare

My dreams are turning against me.
The mountains crumble,
The waves swallow me into the sea.
The storm is brewing, I hear the thunder rumble.
The lighting strikes at my feet,
Leaving a scorched black earth.
I’ve come across two paths that don’t meet,
I’ve missed the soul awakening, the clarities birth.
I let the world end in a shatter,
Because without you, it doesn’t really matter.
Waking with a cry,
I bolted upright covered in sweat.
A heart that felt the need to die,
A heart that felt the shame of a lovers debt.
Rushing to the phone,
I broke down and couldn’t reach out to you.
I’ve never felt so alone,
My broken thoughts I’ll forever rue.
